Boudoir photography is great, it’s a celebration of women, their confidence and their bodies.
Here are a few tips to prepare for your Boudoir Photography Session
The Do’s and Dont's of Boudoir
Do bring multiple outfit choices, lingerie choices are very important for boudoir. I would recommend bringing a black, red, and white lingerie set to start with.
Do bring a robe to the studio
Do wear loose fitting clothing to the studio to ensure you don’t get pressure lines on your body. This is really important as the lines from tight clothing can take hours to go away
Do have a good night sleep the night before
Do have lingerie that fits you properly and makes you feel confident
Do wear matching nail polish or clear polish
Do bring extra panty hose in case you get a run
Do bring accessories for example long necklaces elongate your appearance
Do bring one of your partners shirts either a button up or jersey whatever you know he will love.
Bring something meaningful to you and your partner
Do bring two sets of heels one black and then a lighter set as well, try to avoid heels with ankle straps as they break up the line of your leg
Don’t spray tan, you will look orange in contrast to the white background and also try to avoid tanning (unless your partner is a sucker for tan-lines)
Don’t wear tight clothing to the studio you don’t want to get pressure lines on your body. This is really important as the lines from tight clothing can take hours to go away.
Don’t drink alcohol the night before as it will dry out your skin
Enjoy yourself, you will be amazed out the outcome!
