Deciding what to do and where to go for New Years is no easy decision. This year my close friends and I had the tough task of tossing up between Sydney and Melbourne. It seems this is a popular and topical debate amongst apparent trendy and well travelled young Australians.
After much discussion and critical analysis of both locations, we (finally) decided Melbourne would be our host for this years 2016 NYE party.
It was my first time in Melbourne, I can say, without a doubt, it was one of my favourite holidays so far. Apart from it's reputation for 'bipolar' weather (which is totally accurate), Melbourne really delivered the goods for us. Where to eat, where to shop, where to sip cocktails- the choices are abundant and a little overwhelming...don't make us choose!

We were all so satisfied with our trip and Melbourne as a whole. Melbourne was really the perfect destination for us but didn't do our (sometimes) dangerous spending habits any favours. I can't wait to go back and would recommend a trip to any local or visiting tourist. Sometimes it's better to explore your own backyard before venturing overseas!
